Cloud for federal missions

Federal agencies have unique mission and business needs that require technological expertise and experience with secure cloud environments. Accenture Federal Services has a series of built-for-federal solutions that combine innovation with security rigor to deliver world-class performance.

Greater Together: Accenture Federal Services + the Army

EBS-C

EBS-C will converge five Army SAP ECC instances into an integrated finance-logistics S/4HANA transactional core. The EBS-C Solution will demonstrate and then employ a User Engagement Layer (on top of SAP S/4HANA) to simplify the user experience and fundamentally transform Army operations to become as “commercial-as-possible and military-as-necessary."

UNO OTA

As the Army accelerates digital transformation in support of increasingly complex and distributed battlefield environments, unified network operations will be a key enabler for secure global data exchange and a zero trust security architecture. UNO is foundational to Army network modernization efforts that enhance network security, resiliency and data exchange, and to the service’s unified network vision — which integrates and converges enterprise and tactical networks. The Accenture Federal Services Army team recently won a competitive demo down-select after detailing how a unified view of the Army's network organization, via a single pane of glass, will make it easier to triage, investigate, contain, and remediate network threats. Accenture Federal Services is teamed with Palantir technologies to help secure data exchange across Army's enterprise and tactical networks and Palo Alto Networks to provide end to end security orchestration and workflow management. L3 Harris is also part of the team to help with hardware integration.

  • The Army wants to move to a singular simple intuitive user interface, where Soldiers will be able to conduct endpoint management at a single device that can reach out to all of their unit’s different network nodes, so they can plan, monitor and defend the network in a more effective and efficient way. This single interface concept will also ensure Soldiers are getting the best data and network information to the commander. Looking forward, UNO will also further reduce technical complexity at the edge by leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to simplify operational tasks while providing tailorable and scalable capabilities at the appropriate echelon.

Army e-ICAM Extended Support

Building on the successful turnaround of the Army’s Enterprise – Identity, Credential and Access Management (e-ICAM) program and the recent $600K in ERP onboarding on contract growth this spring, the Army team has successfully worked to extend support across a CLIN that was set to expire, allowing the Accenture team to extend directory support and dashboarding services.

Army Enterprise Application Migration and Modernization (EAMM)

Our Accenture Federal Services Army team recently won an award to help with the Army Enterprise Application Migration and Modernization (EAMM). Accenture Federal Services will initially provide an assessment of Army applications with recommendations, which will guide the follow-on execution of application migration and modernization in the Army Cloud. Throughout its process, the team will be leveraging multiple assets and differentiators including RAPID+,  Cloud Migration and Modernization Factory (CM2F), and the Accenture Standard Architecture Pattern (ASAP) toolkit. The award includes options for Application O&M and Training. The contract is aligned to Army Office of Enterprise Management (OEM).

HQDA Generative AI Pilot

Accenture Federal Services' Army team was recently awarded Generative AI work for the Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA). This effort is a 6-month pilot that will test and prove the benefits of Gen AI to automate and enhance manual HQDA administrative processes.

This win originated from discussions and collaboration with key stakeholders, including the Army CIO, Director of the Army Analytics Group, Director of the Army Staff, and the Chief Technology Advisor to the Chief of Staff of the Army, who informed the use cases and requirements the team will test in the pilot.

This is just the start in exploring how we can transform how work is done at HQDA and beyond to our customers across the DoD

Agile Institute + SAFe

With a staggering 75,000 practitioners, including over 2,100 SAFe Agilists and nearly 600 SAFe Program Consultants, Accenture expertise in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) has driven impressive results, such as reducing adjudicator workload by 18% and slashing production incident rates by 75% for the TSA TIM program. We continually enhance our team's skills through our Agile Institute and SolutionsIQ, offering comprehensive training that covers everything from Agile fundamentals to advanced SAFe Agilist certification.

By integrating Agile and DevOps, we ensure a seamless flow from development to release, enabling teams to work continuously and deliver fully validated solutions.

Human Centered Design

Our Human-Centered Design (HCD) approach is integrated into our product and delivery management, ensuring efficient software development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

We leverage Agile Development methodologies for continuous planning, integration, and deployment, enhancing overall efficiency. By embedding HCD in our strategy and technical solutions, we've successfully completed over 350 projects across 46 agencies since 2016, utilizing a robust design thinking toolkit with more than 85 techniques.

Zero Trust

Our Zero Trust at Scale solution helps agencies shift to a culture of fine-grain data access control, separating policy from platform. By identifying sensitive data and key attributes, we develop and enforce access control policies across entire agencies, ensuring data protection and availability for analysis.

For the Army, we're building a new cyber defense platform that uniquely identifies, authenticates, and authorizes network transactions, aligning with the Enterprise Identity Credential Access Management (E-ICAM) capability and moving the Army towards a robust Zero Trust Architecture.
